This study aims to estimate the variation in failure rates as a function of life profile’s parameters variation calculated in reliability prediction by FIDES method.

The main goal is to identify the main contributors in a life profile and guide the reliability engineers in the degree of sophistication he must dedicate to the elaboration of a FIDES life profile. Firstly, impactful parameters are identified by a full factorial experimental design method.

Then the theoretical study is presented analyse the contribution of each important parameter in life profile.

The results of the study will be illustrated by a concrete example in order to present applicability domain and to put in perspective the study recommendations.
